Nevada Alcohol Delivery Update

The demand for expanded alcohol delivery options in Nevada remains high as the Nevada Department of Taxation finalizes new alcohol delivery regulations.

Saltzman Mugan Dushoff, PLLC shareholder, Ryan Saxe, was quoted in a recent article in the Las Vegas Sun’s Vegas Inc. publication titled, “Demand grows for streamlined local liquor-delivery laws.” “Our clients are trying to meet their customers’ demands,” Saxe said. “Customers in Nevada are looking at their friends and family in other states around the country who are able to get alcohol included in their deliveries and they’re wanting that convenience, too.”

While most of Southern Nevada currently only allows certain grocery stores to deliver alcohol, Mr. Saxe is optimistic that local liquor codes may soon be amended expanding such privileges. The City of Las Vegas recently amended its liquor code to allow third-party delivery support services, as well as other licensed retailers, including liquor stores, convenience stores, and certain restaurants to qualify for alcohol delivery privileges. Clark County and the cities of Henderson and North Las Vegas may soon consider similar changes.
