Las Vegas Liquor Code Amendments

The City of Las Vegas has announced that it is in the early stages of amending its liquor code. Proposed changes include an overhaul of liquor license categories as well as new land use requirements. The draft ordinance includes changes to the applications costs and procedures as well as new regulations for different types of businesses.

The changes are expected to be presented to the City Council for approval in early 2022.

The ordinance is expected to include the following changes, among others:

  • Expanded to-go and delivery privileges for restaurants.
  • Reduction of License fees.
  • Changes to Key Employee Requirements.
  • Curbside Pickup.
  • Limitations on package liquor sales on or around Fremont Street.
  • License availability for limousine services.
  • Changes to application process.
  • Changes to Special Use Permit (SUP) requirements.
