The Clark County, Nevada Business License Director has announced that it will begin rolling back certain temporary privileges that were afforded to retailers in response to the pandemic.
In March 2020, Clark County began approving temporary curbside package beer and wine licenses for certain licensed restaurants. Those restaurants have been able to renew those licenses since that time.
The County has announced that these temporary licenses will not be renewed following their expiration on March 31, 2022.
Without this temporary license, many Clark County restaurants are licensed only to sell alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption by the drink. The restaurant may, however, be eligible to add a permanent package beer, wine and spirit-based products license allowing it to sell such alcoholic beverages in the manufacturer’s original sealed containers for consumption off-premises.

Dear Licensee:
On March 20, 2020, the Governor of the State of Nevada issued a Declaration of Emergency Directive 003 ordering that all Non-Essential Businesses, including all taverns, full bars, supper clubs, and restaurants offering services beyond takeout and curbside meals.
On March 25, 2020, after the Governor determined that the operation of a restaurant is an essential business and may operate on a limited basis including curbside pickup, the Clark County Department of Business License approved the addition of Package Beer, Wine, & Spirit-Based Products to allow for curbside pickup service on a temporary basis.
Your current Temporary License for the Curbside Pickup of Package Beer, Wine, & Spirit-Based Products is valid until March 31, 2022. As provided on the Temporary License, the temporary license
may be extended in the event of a prolonged shutdown of non-essential businesses.Recently, COVID-19 infection rates have declined significantly, there is an increase to the return of normal in-person patronage, and the Governor’s announcement that the State’s mask mandate has been lifted. Therefore, your Temporary License for Curbside Pickup of Package Beer, Wine, & Spirit-Based Products will not be renewed after the current expiration date of March 31, 2022. Please be prepared to cease all curbside pickup services for Package Beer, Wine, & Spirit-Based Products after this date.
Failure to comply with all Clark County Codes and Regulations may result in enforcement action being taken against your license(s).
