Allison Gigante practices primarily in the areas of administrative law and government relations, and focuses on licensing and regulatory compliance counsel for businesses with liquor, marijuana, gaming and other privilege licenses.
Allison joins the firm’s liquor law and privileged licensing practice group after eleven years of government service with Clark County, Nevada’s Department of Business License. While at Clark County, Allison managed liquor, gaming, medical, and recreational marijuana licensing and enforcement as well regulated and general business licensing. She established the compliance protocols regulating medical and recreational marijuana facilities. Throughout her tenure with Clark County, Allison focused on streamlining the licensing application process through code amendment, online technology, staff training and collaboration with her regulatory partners to ensure customer service excellence for the benefit of the Southern Nevada business community.
Prior to moving to Las Vegas in 2006, Allison practiced insurance and commercial litigation in New York’s financial district including first- and third-party coverage and claims defense, multi-layered complex property and business interruption loss, weather related and terrorism catastrophes on behalf of insurance and reinsurance carriers, and national and international corporations.
